Basic principles of Bahaism:

.

Bahá'ís attach great importance to social issues. During his travels through Europe and North America in 1912, `Abdu'l-Bahá enumerated on several occasions the fundamental principles of the Bahá'í Faith in the social sphere, which are as follows:

.

The unity of humanity.
The individual search for the truth.

The unity of religions.
The harmony between religion and science.
Universal education.
Equality between men and women.
The elimination of all forms of prejudice.
The elimination of extreme poverty and wealth.
A universal auxiliary language.

World peace based on common legislation.

.

Another Bahá'í principle is moderation in everything (specifically in liberating, civilizing, and religious zeal and in the literal interpretation of scripture).

.

The Bahá'í Faith affirms that although our age is dark, the future of humanity is bright and world peace is inevitable; it also establishes that Bahá'u'lláh is the manifestation of God for our age. A Bahá'í dedicates himself to following its teachings and observing its laws.

Short description of Bahaism.

.

Better known among his followers and related literature as the Bahá'í Faith . It is the most recent of all the great revealed religions whose origin took place in Persia , present-day Iran , in the 19th century . The Bahá'í Faith is the most recent of the world's great independent religions. This faith is an original religion , its followers are guided solely by the teachings of its founder, Bahá'u'lláh . It should not be considered as a sect, nor as a reform movement within another religion, much less as a mere philosophical system. It is not an attempt to create a new syncretic religion using teachings of other religions. The Bahá'í Faith claims to provide a sui generis vision of Humanity's social and religious evolution, and supposedly provides a viable solution to all the intractable problems of the present age.

Bahaism, also known as Behaism or Baha'i Faith, is a monotheistic religion in which its faithful follow the teachings and lessons of the founder and prophet Baha'ullah , a religious of Eastern origin considered as the bearer of divine revelations and that, to this extent, he proclaimed himself as God's messenger in the 19th century.

.

Bahaism presents itself as a religion with a capable and efficient vision regarding the problems of the present time. Hence, the teachings given by the prophet are applied to face the new moral challenges that the world today has, who is the manifestation of God. It has had a rapid expansion and a significant number of followers in India, although its point of origin is what is now known as Iran.
